  1. I had somewhat similar thoughts as well.

And in terms of categories, let me list some:
    1 Ponchos
    2 Alt Arts
    3 IR & SIR
    4 Gold stars
    5 Crystals
    6 Ex
    7 Tag teams
    And so on

  2. Hello I'm from Paris, and I totally agree with the idea that Pokémon TCG is not a whole card market but rather considered as many card market completely different themselves.
In my opinion the best categorie is Amazing rares from SV block because very high design quality being cheap and underrated.
    Thanks for your vidéo 🙂

  3. Think about the carbon footprint. How many kids in elementary making memories with the latest sets? Not as many as there were in the 2000s which led to this increased TAM. People who run business that are no longer needing to move the product to free up the capital needed for the next wave have become the ouroboros when they don't fulfill their role in the supply chain dynamic.

  4. It's true. All these youtubers say pokemon is crashing. well yeah the new set is gonna crash but english and japanese don't do the same thing. Greninja gold star is definitely being manipulated though

  5. This topic is not discussed enough in the Pokemon card world. In the past 12 months, enormous amounts of money have been dumped into the TCG world and lots of people now view cards as investments, not a collecting hobby. They buy, hold, and then sell once the items are at a certain percentage of profit. Like Collect talks about in his video, buying Pokemon is like investing in the stock market to a certain degree.

  6. I looked at the Pokemon and TCG market as you do. In Asset Management, we discussed and invest in terms of sectors, also in some cases individual securities. This is not different in collectibles, you have sealed, which can be vintage, mid-era, or modern, same for cards, type of cards, etc. You can now at days create lists of these in Collecter App or similars, and track them as a portfolio to see what the market is doing, this year it appears to me moving from one sector to another. Another way to look at collectibles is similar to crypto, specially meme coins, we can laugh and make fun, but if you have a community that values and follows that limited meme, you have a market. Interesting times.
